I got this because my cat was constantly chewing on all the wires under the TV. My power strip is about 10 inches long so this box is perfect for it. I also got the covers for the wires (essential if you want the wires to be "managed" rather than just a box to cover the strip itself). The box combined with the lids and "critter cord" has made me stop worrying about my cat getting hurt while chewing! And everything together looks nice and organized. It's just a plastic cable box, how could it not be good? I put off spending money on something like this as it seemed a bit unnecessary for some cables and transformers that were lying on the floor. However, I was surprised at how much I really like it and how much better it is at organizing this mess. I attached this velcro to the back of the table to keep it off the floor. I bought this for an F/O box that was under my desk and I was concerned about kicking it or its cables or otherwise injuring my legs which I like to do hit the wall. It fits perfectly in the box and has no heat build-up/dissipation issues with the vent side up. I usually put my feet on it with no problem and never worry about it being fragile or damaged by it. It would be helpful to use a locking mechanism to secure the lid to the rest of the box for added assurance that it won't wobble or move
