Great product but the pattern could use a little more direction for those who need it. It was the first thing I ever made and I ended up deviating from the template. I would recommend watching Diana Wingert's YouTube video to show you other stitches and techniques, very helpful.

This was my first embroidery project and was easy to follow. It comes with lots of extra threads and the blue print washes off easily when you're done. However, my big complaint was that the colors provided did not exactly match the colors in the sample image. Otherwise it was a great starter set!

I liked the pattern and the colors match the product description. However, the reference image included in the kit could do with better showing which stitches should be used where and what the finished product should look like, hence I'm only giving it four stars. However, this was not a deal breaker and I would recommend this kit to others.

Nice set. A good way to find out that embroidery isn't really my thing. I had a hard time with the parts of the kit (the rope kept getting tangled, I couldn't get the big flowers right and my letters didn't look good), but it's more my fault than the kit. The pattern made sense (both paper with instructions and printed on fabric) and I had more than enough thread. But after that I guess I'll stick with the cross stitch.

This is my first time embroidering and I love it! This took about 3 weeks (I work on it about an hour a day). I deducted a star for lack of color but I simply used a different color than an embroidery floss I had. Anyway, as a beginner I thought it was very easy and just searched YouTube for different stitches when I didn't understand the instructions that came with it. All in all very fun and relaxing to complete.

I wanted to love it so bad and was so excited to start but it's really awful if you're a beginner like me. The instructions don't help. When I see a "cross-stitch" ad in a product name, I sort of expect cross-stitch. Using a matching quilted/textured fabric on which these patterns are typically found, or cross stitched. Instead, it lay on a flat tea towel. I'm sure it will work for experienced embroiderers, but it's not what I expect from a cross stitch kit! I'll have to put it off, probably…
