Great folding poles for hiking

I used these poles on a recent trip to the Pacific Northwest and was glad I had them. Since they are foldable, they fit perfectly in my checked baggage. I highly recommend them.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

one bar works/other bar broken

Inner cable not secured inside bar. I wonder if the other pole's inner cable will eventually come loose. Returns are not a problem but it is a waste of time that I have to physically drop this product to start the process.

easy to use for trekking poles

these trekking poles are very easy to use. It looks like it has a high strength cable inside to pull the bottom 2 sections in place when the bars are extended. Haven't had a chance to use the cleats yet, but the rubber foot provides good traction on hard surfaces and the spike is great for trails in my area. Mud is very full of clay. A few weeks ago I was on a moderate trail and the only thing I had to walk with was my monopod. This prompted me to find a hiking pole or two as the camera monopod

Durable and lightweight.

When I started hiking years ago, I didn't even have a hiking pole. Over time I decided it would be nice to have it with me whether I used it or not. Fast forward 40 years and now I have to use 2 sticks for balance from time to time. My old hiking poles are non-adjustable ski poles, and I have to carry them in my hands even where poles aren't needed. These sticks are one such improvement. They're lightweight, adjustable, and easily clip to my pack when I'm walking on flat terrain. I no longer go

We need them for our nature walks

As we increase the difficulty of the trails we walk, I've found that we'll benefit from some decent hiking poles. When folded they take up very little space at 14 inches and 21 ounces for both weights is perfectly acceptable. Multi-terrain plug-in ends add a bit of weight and space if you want to carry them all. We only take the essentials for this hike and leave the rest in the car. I tried to load them, simulating a false step, pushing and leaning against them at an angle. They don't bend and

Inexpensive but sturdy enough for most trips

To be honest I was a bit shocked that they were so cheap. They are pretty durable and really help at high altitudes and when the incline gets steeper. However, they don't help much if you have weak triceps. They help evenly distribute the load from the ankles and knees to the shoulders. My triceps worked a bit, feels like I'm done with the SkiErg. Bottom line: If you want to save your ankles, get a pair of trekking poles. It doesn't have to be these, but you do need a good pair like this…

Great trekking poles at Trekking Poles

Was going to deduct a star due to initial assembly difficulties and because the instructions seemed a bit incomplete, but after fiddling around and reading a good review from another user, I came to and think so I fully understand the advantages and benefits of this design. First, you get a pair of broken trekking poles with a perfect modular design that makes it easy to carry a small item instead of the crazy oversized packaging for full-size poles. I love it. It was confusing that it was made

One important thing you need to know...

Originally designed, these trekking poles are perfect for a small daypack. I have a couple of expensive branded trekking poles that I really like. But the biggest problem I have is that they don't come off easily during the parts of the hike when I don't want to use poles. I have to attach them to the outside of the backpack and then they hit my body. These sticks are so small when folded that they even fit in my smallest backpack. There is one design feature that you need to understand in…

Okay, but one thing I'll be aware of

I'm a hiker who loves spending time in state, national and local parks, hiking trails, enjoying the great outdoors and taking care of my health respect, think highly of. I was interested in these trekking poles for several reasons. They are light. They have a number of interchangeable parts that attach to the ends of the poles. They break down and are easy to store. You look good. They seem reasonably priced and I wanted to see how much you get for your money. Each stick has a nice velcro strap

Pros
  • Elegant Design
Cons
  • Long Shipping Time
