Love the look: power and hand tools

Have worn it to work every day since summer. Like the look. Feels great, well balanced. The hinges on the back slide together, which I sometimes notice, but it doesn't really bother me enough to try to fix it. The whole difference is taking the pressure off my waist. I used to have to tighten the belt so tight. Uncomfortable and everything always goes up. Now those times are over.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Nice but not great

They work very well.

I didn't receive them with the tool belt, I ordered them later. While they were quite expensive for braces, I really thought the tool belt was worth the money, so figured it would be worth it. My old braces didn't stick to that thick skin. They really hold the weight of the belt very well. They're bulky compared to my previous plain fabric suspenders, but for good reason. I think they are well thought out and work great.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Useless features

So far, so good. Excellent quality.

Excellent leather and finish quality once again. I only wish I had spent a little more money on the extra padding, it can be a bit uncomfortable for some people with a slim build and not enough built in shoulder pads like me in the heat. It also puts extra strain on my upper back for me which puts a lot of pressure on your hips which is my reason for buying. If you switch from using to not using in between, I think that would be great.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Nothing

Get what you pay for, AMERICAN MADE, AMERICAN QUALITY. money well spent.

Nothing beats the best. I have used Occidental tool bags and accessories for over 20 years. Lasts longer, wears better than any I've ever used. Like no other suspension system I have used. I am a 50 year old carpenter/builder with a sciatic nerve injury. These braces distribute the weight of the bags very well. More than ever. Worth every penny! You really do get what you pay for with these MADE IN AMERICA products. (And no, they don't pay me to say that. They're just SO good at what they do.)

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Update availability

The upholstery is too thin

I know that everything this company makes is ridiculously expensive. But at nearly $75, one would hope they'd be "extremely comfortable," as advertised. I personally find them very uncomfortable. The padding is very thin. It feels like she's gone and I'm sure she won't get any better with age. Plastic buckles on front protrude and don't lay flat. Oh! and the included loops will NOT fit the Occidental Padded Belt! Too small. Now they are returning. I will be using my black and yellow pair which…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some flaws

I don't eat much, but I have a small waist 29, it's uncomfortable to wear tight belts. This thing evenly distributes weight, holds pouches higher than a regular belt, doesn't restrict movement, and doesn't get too hot in the Florida sun. Packages have attachments. Edit: 6 months later I updated the packages to Occidental Finisher. Now I use loops for hanging and to keep the back loops from getting together I put two lightweight AWP pockets in between for spacers and for small things like trim…

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Suitable

Expensive but very comfortable and lasts well.

These are required for all tool bags once loaded. I prefer them over the leather version because you can tighten the straps for a perfect fit and they don't stretch over time. I carry Occidental full leather bags so the leather loops can slide over my belt. This wasn't a problem for me, but the front right loop can slip off the belt when I'm taking off bags. To prevent this, I fold the strap back into my pocket so the loop doesn't come loose. Be sure to inspect the stitching and leather loops…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Not everything fits
