Didn't work for me: Sockets and Headsets

Unfortunately, that didn't help my predicament of trying to remove a rusty nut from a rear wiper. Just slipped around and continued to rip off :(

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Spend your money on the best set.

Other reviews are correct. The metal used in them is cheap. With slight pressure, the recesses inside the nest were deformed and bent. Don't take these, spend your money on a better set.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Crumpled

Works Great - Hand Tool

I had rusty and stripped 8mm bolts in a 2004 Honda CR-V air filter housing that seemed impossible to get out until I got this socket set. Try them first and the bent bolts are firmly hooked into the socket and come out instantly. Very happy with this purchase and worth the money.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Contact Seller

this is a must have

I spent over an hour on a hard to reach rounded bolt, gave up and ordered this marvel. The bolt came loose immediately and was worse rounded than I could see beforehand. Getting better. I couldn't get a replacement bolt right away, but this set allowed me to reuse the rounded bolt.

Pros
  • delivery was very quick
Cons
  • For the old

He received the first fine; however

bought to remove two 14mm cylinder head bolts which were rounded. He received the first fine; however, the "teeth" of the extractor were already rounded after the first use and could not extract the second bolt. This set is probably better for pulling non-hardened nuts/bolts.

Pros
  • finally bought
Cons
  • some cons

saved my day Highly recommended.

Excellent product. Working on the machine, what saved me was the fact that the previous mechanic twisted the fasteners and royally rounded the nut. These sockets provide enough bite area to allow you to remove all rounded nuts. The key is to use the right size and tap it against the clasp to keep the socket in place. Then use a ratchet to remove the clasp.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are defects

Just buy them, don't think twice about it

Just a note to anyone working on the 1970 Challenger. The wheel bolts on the driver's side have left-hand threads. Great product, saved my day/month after spending countless hours removing drivers side nuts from a 1970 Challenger which I first thought were welded to the studs with rust but turned out to be left hand threads . yes i was angry In any case, they compressed fantastically and loosened over-tightened nuts with very little effort. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Good stuff

Same day return

My chrome molybdenum steel The metal is cheap and soft. SEE the attached photo. I had to remove the belt tensioner on my Jeep Liberty 3.7. The head of the bolt was rounded and I couldn't get a good grip on it with a regular head. That's what this thing is for, right? Incorrect. "Magic flanges" that are supposed to hold the screw head on the surface deform. The screw looks the same as it did at the beginning. The metal in these things is softer than the head of the screw, so the "nutcracker"…

Pros
  • Many fit
Cons
  • Some difficulty
