PERFECT FOR KAYAKING

Really nice vest that goes well with my fishing kayak. I particularly like how the top rear float is positioned over my seat which allows me to sit comfortably while paddling. I'm a tall guy and the vest stretches well for my size.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Upgrade Availability

Very convenient. for kayaking

shipping was a bit expensive fast as I live in Canada and shipping was expensive. Fits well, would get 5 stars if the seams came undone at the top. Not sure how long this will take, let's hope it does as it's very handy.

Pros
  • practical thing
Cons
  • minus gift

Light and comfortable

Bought this for my husband towards the end of the season so he only got to use it twice but he says it's very comfortable, light weight and has enough pockets for his gear. It even matches his recently purchased Old Town Kayak. He would highly recommend this product.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Quality

The seams are unbuttoned with 2 zippers

After one use the seams come undone and 2 zippers are about to detach completely from the vest. I didn't use it until autumn so it's too late to return it. The Carlisle rudder I bought also had a hairline crack running the length of the right rudder. I only noticed it a week ago when I first used it. I'm going to sell my Old Town and buy Hobie and all of Hobie's gear. I am not happy.

Pros
  • nice little thing
Cons
  • without a machine gun

Excellent fit with lots of adjustment options. It also has plenty of storage space and one of the main reasons I chose this life jacket was the stretchable pocket, big enough for my iPhone in a floating case. I fish offshore with a Hobie Revolution 16 and this life jacket is perfect for that due to the limited storage space for the Revo 16. I just wish they had more attachments for the VHF radios, PLBs and dive knives that are essential for BTB/Offshore fishing and I also wish there were…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Nothing here

Outstanding quality, fit, comfort and safety.

First of all I am always wary when I buy clothes online because they are not the right size. I'm 5ft 9in, 190lbs, medium height and wear a little extra in the middle. As said above I ordered S/M according to size chart and it is spot on. With a 43" chest, 32" waist, a S/M t-shirt and hoodie fit me perfectly. By tightening the straps around my waist, I have room for a larger and smaller size. The build quality is very good and the PFD is very light. It feels a bit bulky at first, but since it…

Pros
  • Great fit for me

It will drag you in and kill you if you are unconscious in the water.

Looks nice, very comfortable, but I tried it in the water and no matter what position I was in, for example: back, side, top right or upside down, upside down, it didn't work Turn me over, results I would have drowned. / Top right she dunked me face down in the water and I would have drowned and died, / Chest up and motionless, that jacket, laid my body straight and face back in the water, Bottom line, that's a deadly one PFD if you pass out in the water and very unsafe I believe saving life…

  • Everything is fine

Great PFD, if a bit pricey.

So far I really like this life jacket for kayak fishing and touring adventures. It's very comfortable and seems to fit as expected. It's not overly bulky but offers decent storage. In fact, if you need more storage options than there are, you're probably doing it wrong, haha. My only concern is that the top straps need more velcro as they dangle a bit if you're not the right size to keep them at the right length. I keep an eye out for separately sewn storage compartments, especially at the…
