You will only be disappointed if you pay for it.

A bit pricey but works very well. I put it between the Delta 1 HP dust bag and the 13 inch planer. Very little dust gets into the dust bag - no more bag changes. fast - and no more heavy plastic bags full of sawdust. Too bad I didn't buy this a long time ago. Good product.

Works Great!: Power Tool Parts & Accessories

Works Great! I use mine with the Harbor Faught 1 HP dust collector on a CNC machine. I made two small mods for myself. First, I smeared a liberal coat of Spar Varnish on the inside and outside of the fiberboard basket. I sometimes rinse out my magazine with a garden hose, but the glass was still half used and in need of repair. Second, since my SDD is stuck under my CNC machine and is quite difficult to remove, I installed a piece of Lexan so I can control when I need to empty the bin.

Pros
  • Tough Finish
Cons
  • Easily Repairable

Attachment between cyclone and canister needs improvement

This thing really does collect 99.9% of dust before it gets into your filter. but not crazy about the box for the collection. Also, the bottom of the cyclone just comes up to the edge of the collection bin, the supplied foam tape needs to be fitted hanging slightly off the bottom of the cyclone to allow the foam to fill the gaps. left too small diameter of the built-in cyclone cover. still an easy way to build a large cyclone. I have a 90 degree turn at the entrance to the cyclone and it still…

It's just great!

If you have a small workshop with 4" suction hoses for your tools and a dust bag, this is what you need. Almost all of the sawdust ends up in the Oneida barrel. The keg can be emptied in a few minutes. my manifold, the filter stays cleaner which improves my overall system. I used to notice a difference in suction power within hours of cleaning my manifold. It has been over a month since I installed this unit and my collector is still working at peak efficiency. One of the best additions I've…

I thought for $200+ it would be much stronger/tougher?

I don't know how this unit works with a large dust collection system! I hooked up a 10 gallon stainless steel vacuum but I bought it from Costco and connected it to this unit with a 2 1/2 inch hose and adapters and it folded the slightly tapered bass all the way into a cardboard drum. While that's a good shot, this isn't a large 4-inch industrial dust collector, so I can't imagine how this would perform on a larger unit that draws a lot more CFM if it just collapses on a CFM vacuum. The device…

very happy with project

Works well; I just wish the price was more like plastic and paper. I use mine in conjunction with a 1.5hp Penn State Industries DC3 portable fan. (vhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CU7DKTI/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_10?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1). I've also brought ventilation through the back wall of my shop using: Builders Edge 130110006001 Surface Block 001, White 201 Stainless Steel with Round Convex Spout, External Wall Vent, 4" (https://www.amazon.com/gp/ product/…

Great way to dispose of rubbish!

I just installed it yesterday so I might have to go back and update it at some point, but WOW! It picks up a lot of stuff before it gets into the vacuum, so I would expect a vacuum cleaner filter to last a lot longer and stay a lot cleaner. Here are some observations: * This thing is seriously overpriced, but at least it's made in America (which is why I paid three times more than a Chinese-made solution). * Cardboard container. Yes. However, it seems durable enough as long as you keep it dry…

The lid is unfinished and falls through, the plastic is not hard enough.

I originally used this product with the Harbor Freight dust bag that goes with my planer, planer and table saw. The barrel's small size and lack of a viewing window made it very awkward to use, and difficult to tell when it was full. Due to the thin lip on the barrel with the thin plastic mount and guard combined with the metal retaining ring, the barrel was very difficult to empty, align and lock properly. As a solution to this problem, I added a Lexan window on the side of the keg to see when

Not Great: Power & Hand Tools

When I bought this tool I expected MUCH BETTER QUALITY from an industry leader. I opened the box and found a bucket of hardened cardboard fiber, oh. Then I noticed a super dusty helper (upside down) in that bucket. As I pulled it out to look at the construction I noticed 5 or 6 screws on the top holding the top to the main body. I knew I had to seal them inside to possibly fix the loss of suction. Then I noticed the adapter on the top (adapter 5-4 inches). I knew this had to be inserted and…
