Works great for the money

the pedal arrived quickly and looked great. The build quality looks excellent, the entire finish is very clean. On my lane 9 with five nine freeriders, I have strong traction even in partially muddy conditions. I wasn't sure if these pedal platforms would be big enough (6ft 4in, size 14ft) so I chose composites over aluminum but they are perfect. Although they are plastic they seem to be very durable if they don't fail I see no reason to switch to the aluminum version at least for now. In…

Cons
  • Something different

Significantly better grip than the competition

I recently bought a used clipless pedal bike and wanted to swap them for a platform. I'm a size 12 and wish the pedals were bigger. I bought these after buying Chesters which was a big disappointment. I live in the Pacific Northwest and it was a dry day but there was still some moisture on the ground. I had to constantly check the position of my feet because I slipped. Not with one-ups. The grip is incredible even on wet roads. No matter how I place my foot or how wet it is, my feet feel locked

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Working speed

Nice Pedals - Pedals

I mounted them on my road bike because my knees didn't like the pedals and shoes without clips. The clip worked well but did not allow me to adjust the position and position/angle of my knee on the fly to relieve knee pain. Also, I didn't like changing my shoes just to drive around the neighborhood with my wife. These OneUp pedals solved both problems. They have a nice wide platform with a thin profile that allows me to adjust foot position and angle as needed on long rides to eliminate knee…

Nice update!: pedals

I had some very cheap aluminum flat plates that I bought to see if I liked them compared to the clips. After deciding yes, I searched for a pair with a larger platform. The OneUp Composite pedal was rated #1 in a comparison I've read and was also very good value at half the price or less than other pedals that weren't rated as highly. This pedal is way better than the one it replaced. . Better clearance due to the narrower profile, more control and foot placement with a larger platform, lighter

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • Doesn't fit all

Regular cheap pedals but not great

As the name suggests, they are mostly affordable. I've banged them against some rocks and roots and it doesn't bother me except for a bit of missing plastic. In dry weather the grip is good. Not as good when wet, but still good. However, there are two things I hate 1. They don't spin easily. The bearings have so much friction that it is impossible to move the pedal by hand to make even one full revolution. I don't know how much energy is wasted on my rides, but it's definitely low quality and…

  • Great for outdoor activities

Leg numbness and hot spots.

UPDATE: After spending some time researching and investigating hotspot issues, I'm sure pedal design is important, but it's actually part of a good pedal/shoe/application Combination. After getting some specialized red insoles I tried them on my freeriders and it made a HUGE difference. Pain and numbness gone, these pedals are really good. The large platform gives you plenty of positioning options, and now that my shoes and pedals know each other better, holy hand grenades are making these…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
