scratched plastic glasses

my anti-reflective coating was peeling off my plastic glasses and I needed to see clearly. I searched YouTube for soaking in alcohol and then cleaning with a plastic brush. very bad move. the lenses are completely scratched. I saw another YouTube video showing how eyeglass lenses are actually made and then bought this bag of powder and a 3" buffing wheel for my cordless drill. I used two scoops in a small amount of water (2 cups?) in a bucket for a milky consistency and it not only removed the…

Great windscreen scratch remover

I used to use Scotch Brite on the windscreen - big mistake! I had minor scratches on a pickup truck windshield. I first tried using toothpaste on a small area of the glass but saw no improvement and actually looked like the toothpaste was adding scratches. Cerium oxide is what you need. I washed the windshield first and then trimmed the fairing. I did the passenger side first in case that doesn't work. I used a 1/2" bit that only spins at 1000 RPM. I followed the directions, mixing the cerium…

About three hours a day (fifteen to twenty minutes at a time, or until my hand gives out) and a lot of effort, but all that…

FINALLY a product that helps remove limescale stains on glass!

SUMMARY: Causes mess and takes time, but WORKS VERY WELL at removing light scratches and hard water stains on glass. EXPLANATION: My renters have never cleaned or salted the water softener. This left me with horrible hard water stains on my glass shower doors. I tried every cleaning product to get rid of the stains. I even tried 5000 grit sandpaper (it worked, but it took a long time and left light scratches). A friend recommended a lightly abrasive cleaner (I won't name the name) that removed…
