Terrible performance, avoid this drive

As a result of using this product, I found that it was painfully slow when burning discs and prone to errors. The design is also bulky and inconvenient to transport.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Slow performance, prone to errors, bulky design.

I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

The drive is the best portable one I could find in St. Petersburg on 12/20/20. Now I have an omnivorous and portable drive. Its pros: Supports BD-XL - quad-layer Blue Ray discs 128GB. Works great, writes and reads all discs without problems. Recorded more than 30 discs 25GB - no errors. And one 50gb drive. None of the discs were damaged. To record quickly - I recommend using usb type c. Managed to archive all family photos and videos. Cons: Recording on Blue Ray is not cheap. It was not…

I am not disappointed, the quality is satisfying.

Pros: Corresponds to the characteristics, compact. It was purchased for recording archival optical BR-discs (M-disk). Some cons: There were no ARCHIVE BR optical discs on the store's website, although the drives were on sale.

Very disappointing was the lack of reading 4K discs. The manufacturer does not indicate this information ANYWHERE, as a result, all online stores also omit this moment. Surprisingly, everywhere there is a read and write speed, but the supported formats were modestly kept silent. In fact, the alternatives to external drives that support Blu-Ray Ultra HD are not great: Verbatim Blu-ray Ultra HD 4K Slimline USB USB 3.1 (not officially sold in 2022) Pioneer BDR-XS07B-UHD (not officially sold in…

Pros
  • Compact Rubber feet (fits tightly on the table, does not slip) 2 sets of cables included Does not require installation of additional software and drivers, everything works out of the box (tested under Windows 10) High read and write speeds for a compact device Requires no additional power when connected via USB Type-C or USB 3.0 Type-A
Cons
  • NO support for reading Blu-Ray Ultra HD (4K)! Requires a USB Type-A + USB 2.0 Y cable for additional power when recording if connected to a laptop with USB 2.0 ports (cable included). When connected to an active hub, only USB 3.0 is enough Noisy

The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

In general, I wanted a universal drive that would read all formats. Actually received this. But if you do not need the presence of blues, then I advise you to take cheaper analogues. Around 2.5 and a little higher. You won't feel the difference very big Some pros: 1. We read a lot of formats (you can say universal) 2. There are two types of connection, both usb and c 3. All the same, asus 4. If the discs are of normal quality, then it is almost inaudible 5. Nimble Has some cons 1. Price (very…

The product sucks and the quality is horrible.

The drive starts recording at maximum speed and stops recording at 10-15%. It often fails before, sending a large number of synchronization errors and omissions to the log. Tested with complete cables, on different machines and OS. Discs from dubious Mirex to Verbatim, BD-R.

Pros
  • Small size, powered by Type-C
Cons
  • Doesn't work, ruins disks. The controller lives its own life.

Good quality product, I rate this purchase excellent.

Satisfied, for a long time I wanted an external compact Blu Ray drive. For my tasks, that's it) Pros: USB 3.1, small, compact, 2 cables included. The main thing for me: works from USB C. Different cons: The top cover is glossy, easily soiled, it will be quickly scratched.
