I wanted dual band Wi-Fi. After installing I could get 5G but not 2.4G. I could see a strong 2.4G network but the device never connected. Installation and software are unnecessarily complicated. I have a similar dual band device from AUKEY which is very easy to install. I recommend you buy the Revain AUKEY AC600.

For the past few weeks, I've been noticing that my Wi-Fi connections have been very slow and dropping out often. I should have bought this amazingly efficient Wi-Fi tool back then, but I foolishly waited until my Acer Aspire S3 laptop lost a Wi-Fi signal. As others have pointed out, Linux is a nightmare. The driver CD contains a Linux folder but no driver installation instructions. Running install.sh on the latest version of Ubuntu throws an error. After searching for hours I can't find a way to get this thing to work with Linux at all. It's probably fine on Windows, but DO NOT BUY for Linux

I bought this adapter to get 5Ghz WiFi and it works pretty well. It is true that I tried similar connection and transmission tests as wired internet. But not everything is so good. I've tried using the bluetooth part to sync my phone through the Your Phone app and when the phone syncs it doesn't pick up the PC's audio and mic so it's just an extension of the answer button.
