Fine if you don't use it all the time

No big deal. It's already distorting. I use it almost every day at work, maybe that's why. I would love to find something made in the USA.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Arrived very quickly! And the quality seems fantastic

I haven't had a chance to use a key yet but I change a lot of rear tires. This wrench is head and shoulders better than the Harley Davidson rear axle wrench I've struggled with for years. This will be a great addition to my tools.

Pros
  • As everything before
Cons
  • Only available in white

A Good Tool Saves Time

OTC 4882 Rear Axle Wrench saves time by removing mufflers just to tighten the drive belt. Buying two of these will save you even more time holding the axle by tightening the axle nut to the specified torque. When used properly, this wrench is of high quality and will last for many years.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Infinitely Sluggish

Very well built maybe too well

Great tool at a good price. The only downside is that the tool is very thick, almost too thick. For this reason, it is very difficult to get on the axis in a confined space. Also, it won't let the ball of my torque wrench stay in place due to the thickness. I know they were probably trying to make a powerful tool, but they overdid it a bit.

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • Some little things

Others are weak. This strong

Attention! A technician next to me bought the same tool from Revain. LIKE THIS! He used it 1 time and the ratchet hole widened and the head of his tool deformed. However, we are dealing with 100 foot pounds. However, mine is damn strong and kicks ass! I HAVE MINE HERE. FROM THIS SELLER! STILL USE MINE. AND THE GUY NEXT TO ME TOO.

Pros
  • One year probationary period
Cons
  • Something is wrong

This is a much cheaper copy of an OTC stamp, NOT A TRUE OTC stamp.

This works if you only need to use it occasionally for home use. You can tell it's an illegal OTC brand as it doesn't have the brand name laser engraved (it just says Taiwan) but a lower quality metal alloy so it's easily distorted when a lot of torque is applied. Definitely not worth the price I received for imitating the sound of a quality instrument. This is the same variety as all the cheaper ones at Revain.

OTC Wrench 36mm

I purchased this wrench and another from Pit Posse when it came time to tackle the rear wheel of my 2010 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited. The rear wheel has a removable axle nut on one side and a welded-on nut of the same size on the other side of the axle. This key is shorter than the Pit Posse. Both wrenches have a square hole so you can attach them to a torque wrench and tighten the axle to spec. This key actually worked better for this use in my opinion. The shorter length allowed me to…
