Warning: terrible product!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! Sealed Outboard Fuel Pump to fit Johnson Evinrude Outboard Motor 438556 20-140hp 48/90/115 18-7352 This part fell completely apart, clogging the carburetors and leaving us stranded in the middle of a lake. The part of the fuel pump is made of cardboard. Completely unacceptable product. The poor quality of this product caused both financial and emotional difficulties. Can't believe a company would make a fuel pump for a boat that isn't fuel resistant!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Everything great

I made the decision to go to the water with them and it ended up costing me 6 hours of work that I couldn't calculate. So what I found all said and done was the gasket dissolved and turned to a pulp, then got into the fuel line, got to the carburetors and clogged them. I had to remove all the carburetors, clean them and flush the fuel lines. I've tried
