💽 Enhanced 2.0TB HDD Upgrade Kit for 2009-2010 iMacs - Inclusive of Thermal Sensor, Tools, and 2.0TB Hard Drive Review

This was a fairly easy install despite some small connectors that were not easy to remove with clumsy big fingers. All tools were included and good detailed instructions online. After installation, the iMac started up and the backup was restored. This larger drive is quieter and faster than the old failed drive. I will have no hesitation in buying from OWC again for a future home improvement.

Following instructions on youtube was no problem. I'm new to computer repair, but it seemed intimidating when it was actually easy. Just follow the instructions. I even downloaded and installed the program, resulting in a brand new, updated desktop Mac.

Includes all the tools you need and a link to an easy step-by-step video. I installed a new hard drive which is a bit slower than the video but I managed to do it successfully and am restoring my timemachine backup. Thank you OWC! updates. 7 months and my drive died. I'm trying to find out if this is covered under warranty.

Beautiful set! I have a 2009 iMac that needs a new HD. The thought of doing it myself was daunting, but I didn't plan on shelling out hundreds to fix a nearly 10-year-old computer. But it literally took 30-40 minutes to replace, from start to finish. Tip: To turn off the screen and detach the LCD, have a friend hold the iMac steady so it doesn't tip over. And have a can of compressed air handy; mine was covered in dust. I would highly recommend this HD kit even for the least tech savvy like me!

I installed it on my Late 2009 iMac last month and it was easy and still no problems. If you're comfortable doing it yourself, you can't go wrong for the price.

I found OWC's tutorial videos online before deciding to choose their product for my needs. The combination of video and all-inclusive package (including tools, microfiber cloth, etc.) was perfect. They also preformatted the hard drive before shipping, so all I had to do was restore it from my Time Machine backup. The installation took about 45 minutes from start to finish.
