Changed product

I bought and expected hollow sheet metal in the form of spacers but they sent me these. They are hard and must be removed after use.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Unreliable

Quickly screw in struts and struts

They worked as expected. We were laying subway tiles so this spacer was just what we needed to complete the job. Our local stores didn't have T spacers, so when I found them at Revain I was done. The order was processed quickly and before we knew it we were up and running.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Only available in white

Not as stated on the clasps

As of February 2020, the product listing for OX-T161220 states that it is hollow and shows corresponding images. You are solid. I checked the bag and it matches the part number, but they look like the 'long padded cross' version. I need to get this working, but given the feedback from over a year ago about the wrong lists, this is ridiculous.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Item not as pictured

Overall they seem to work and that's why I'm giving them three stars. They seem well made and the same size. The problem is that they are not hollow as the product photo shows. This prevents the grout from fixing the spacer in the tile like other brands (Barwalt) do. They are also very small; 1/8 in each dimension. This means if you use more than 1/8" thin set you run the risk of slipping the shims under the edge of the tile and thereby losing the shim under the tile. I don't know if they are…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Easily repairable
