Great unique whisk!

I didn't think a 'flat' whisk would do, but this thing has strong tines for beating macaroni and cheese into heavy soups. I'm impressed and I'm a family chef who is hard to impress with kitchen utensils!

ATK is recommended. Buy it.

Bought because it was recommended by American Test Kitchen. Always listen to American test kitchen. Ideal for whipping in a pan or in a small bowl/measuring cup 4C - fits all angles. Durable, high quality.

  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Good flat whisks - Whisk

I love flat whisks. They don't get as many things stuck in them as regular whisks, and they're easier to clean. Maybe I shouldn't use it for mashed potatoes or pancake batter, I don't know. i am not a chef But it works, love the design and it's easy to clean hence 5 stars from me.

Kitchen utensils that are worth every penny

No more whisking! nope! After use I threw away all my balloon bats! This one is so easy to use. My favorite part, unlike the balloon, is that it can go flat. As easy to use as baking cookies and trying to whip the batter back into the bowl without sticking to the opposite side of the whisk. If you're looking for a new whisk and not sure if it's worth trying, DO IT! This is a great investment worth every penny.

Very, very small pen, not a good buy.

I have a regular Oxo Whisk and I like it. I read reviews about this whisk, I saw a photo that someone posted that the handle is small, but in the picture there was only a pot, not someone's hand. So I thought, well it doesn't look small, I wonder what the complaint was. Well I wrote mine down and now I know the handle is about 3/4 inch shorter and almost no diameter. Perfect for your child you are teaching to cook. I really can't recommend this one, very surprised it passed the prototype. How…

Great tool for every day. But don't throw away your old whisk either.

This is definitely the "new classic" among kitchen tools. This is one of the few tools, including tongs and spatula, that I keep handy on my countertop. At first I was skeptical that I would achieve the same aeration effect that an air broom creates. But it turned out that he copes well with everyday tasks. Since it has no sharp edges, it can also be used on a coated pan. Both for stirring ingredients and as a spatula as it flattens completely when squeezed and can slip under food, especially…

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Bought to make gravy from pan drips. I think he can do a lot more. Why? The layers of wire teeth are staggered at several different levels. (Photos are attached). This feature allows it to whip more liquid than other flat whisks with non-staggered tines (all in the same plane) in my opinion. This Oxo Whisk combines the ease of use/cleaning of a flat whisk with the extra surface area provided by offset teeth. It's the best of both whisk worlds (balloon or flat)! The comfortable handle is just…

Shockingly many great reviews for a below average flat whisk

First of all I have been generally very happy with the OXO products I have purchased over the years and this whisk does not live up to those experience at all. This flat whisk is by far the worst of the four flat whisks I looked for when looking for one to add to my kitchenware collection. It has the thinnest construction and design as the wire for the whisk is made of thinner wire and has a more curved shape throughout the length of the whisk. This curvature allows only a small portion of the…

Great little whisk for whisk

I ordered this whisk because I wanted a smaller whisk and it had good reviews. I've been happy with OXO products in the past so I decided to give it a try. First use was ok, not great but it was the right size for small portions. Once I learned how to use it (it's really flat, unlike my other flat whisks which have a metal coil attached to the handle around a U-shaped wire) I became a die-hard fan. This is my favorite whisk and I use it now for things I wouldn't use a whisk for before. I only…
