This is quite a functional meat grinder. I was mostly satisfied with the functionality. However, this appears to be too labor intensive as the skin/food pieces are compacted and the blade simply slides OR vice versa and it is difficult for the blade to pick up pieces between the screen and the blade. I bought this because of the Wirecutter reviews, despite the negative comments from America's Test Kitchen. I should have listened to the ATK guys. It performs well, it's easy to clean, easy to assemble, it has multiple disc sizes, it sits securely on the bowl or pan. It has a lot to like. except that it doesn't do what it's supposed to.
