My Alpine PWE-S8 now sounds like Alpine should sound like

My Alpine PWE-S8 now sounds like Alpine should sound like. I've never used a stock head unit before. As I said, this is my first time using a factory deck. Today he has no other choice, the whole car is running away from him. In short, using this LOC compared to using high-level speaker wire was night and day. Thank God I didn't stop with installing new speakers. An active subwoofer brings your production box to life. Using this converter instead of high-level outputs makes the factory unit a…

Finally decided that my 2011 CR-V head unit was turning off with a thud!

I have a Rockford P3 subwoofer and a 500w Alpine mono amp in my CR-V and sometimes the subwoofer would make a very loud bang when the car was off. I had 2 front door speakers feeding the amp's built in high level inputs. This little guy has made a HUGE difference. This solved the knock on shutdown but wow I missed it. The bass sounds much cleaner and the overall sound quality seems much better. I didn't have to use brown ground wires and installation was a breeze. It amazes me that PAC sells…

It works fine for me. Best in Power Converters

I've read other reviews of people having trouble firing this thing. I haven't had this problem and I have a top of the line Bose audio system in my car with a standard amp pushing the power through this thing and I usually listen to my music at 50 volume (my system maxes out at 65) I guess folks Those who are having issues with it are probably full scrolling boost or something. I mean gain basically increases or decreases the audio signal going through the converter. So if you're listening to…

Read most of the other reviews here. something you should know.

After reading more than half of the reviews and all of the lower rated reviews I would like to report that all but one or two rare defective units were either connected to equipment other than the car stereo or incorrectly connected. I was shocked to read utter stupidity and then see a bad review. One thing the bad reviews had in common was that they made a point of owning things they thought were expensive, like "MY" 4000w Bose home stereo, "MY" Samsung 75-inch 8K -Curved edge TVs etc. I…

Works (ultimately) for TVs

My TV doesn't have audio outputs with adjustable volume so I bought this converter to bypass my TV's (horrible) internal speakers. I unplugged the TV speakers and connected the speaker wires to this line level converter. I then connected some good sounding USB powered computer speakers to the converter. The instructions say to set the source volume to 2/3, then turn the transducer controls clockwise to increase the level as needed. So I started with the pots counterclockwise. It initially…

Fits well with some ifs and buts

Bought with high expectations. I bought it to connect my micro CD system to my new amp. Until I got this converter I used the headphone output to connect to my amp. The price was reasonable and it wouldn't hurt to try. First impression - looks solid. There's even a performance adjustment. Although the instructions are well written, it is surprising that the RCA output had no L and R markings. I had to try using the balance control on the amp to find out. This is the first time I've found a good
