Looks like this new one is cracked now too

Bought this converter in April 2016, fitted it to my car and it worked perfectly. So far it is December 2016 and the car is making the same noises as before replacing the old catalytic converter. It looks like this new one is cracked too. Maybe it's just bad luck but I know I put it on correctly and now it's torn too.

Pros
  • Heat shield brackets (where are they)
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Don't waste money. Didn't even last a year.

Purchased this item on 23rd September 2015. Installed it on my 2008 Nissan Altima 2.5 in October 2015. 3 weeks ago my check engine light came on and I'm starting to hear an exhaust leak with heavy fumes entering the cabin. To my great surprise, it came out of the sewers. Not even a year has passed. Maybe 10,000km. Extremely disappointed. It was held together by a heat shield. These photos were taken on Friday August 19, 2016. Don't waste your money.

Pros
  • Stainless steel construction
Cons
  • Generally good but...

Very bad quality. Do not buy !

Partially fits, but the gasket that seals the connection between the inverter and the motor blew out within a WEEK! Very bad quality. Update June 25th: I had to change my rating from 2 to 1 star as there is no zero star. This product is garbage. The welds between the body and the heads that connect to your engine have completely come loose. I mean it didn't just break, it broke completely and I had to separate the halves. Converters are designed for the entire life of the car and will not fail.

Pros
  • More efficient pipe design with little restriction
Cons
  • Vulgarity
