My computer didn't have a DVD-CD drive so it couldn't play my discs. Item was as described with very fast and reliable delivery. Product works great, sorry I didn't order sooner - works great.

All you need is products that work the way you expect them to, and this one does. Yes, it has a short cord. I bought an extension cord for $1. It's plug and play. As usual, there is no optical drive on my new Asus computer. Although I don't play discs on my computer, I do use my computer to burn them. So I downloaded VLC media player (free) and WinX software (paid) and burned a disc. Worked perfectly. With a short cord, the drive fell and hung on the cord. Keep working! I recommend all three…

Fully meets our requirements!

Our disc drive on our computer was not working properly and my kids were so frustrated that they can no longer watch movies on the computer. I wanted to buy a DVD player for the TV, but we don't use the TV that much that it made sense to do something with the computer since that's where we spent most of our time watching TV. Works as expected. You must hold it on a flat surface, otherwise the DVD may jump. This makes it difficult to use in bed with my laptop. Basically fine.

Convenient to use best in optical drives

I love using this device in class! My school computer doesn't let me watch DVDs or listen to CDs, so it's very convenient when we read books and then watch the movie that comes with the book to compare and contrast them. I love this product!
