It started smoking in heat lamps

It started smoking 5 minutes after turning it on. My lamp is undamaged and works perfectly, it is clear that the problem was in the projector, there are also burn marks underneath.

Pros
  • Carbon filament gives off heat longer 24/7
Cons
  • Some problems

Unassembled

It's broken. When I took it out of the box, it rang, something was dangling inside. It is better to buy in person, so there is less chance of a breakdown along the way.

Pros
  • Parabolic reflector focuses heat waves for optimal heating conditions
Cons
  • boring packaging

Ideal for twilight and night views.

Bought a 100 watt bulb because the 80 watt Arcadia bulbs were a little underpowered for my setup. They definitely work as advertised, although I had to remove the silicone covers because they gave off an odd smell when the projectors got hot. Only time will tell how long they last, but so far I'm happy.

Pros
  • Emits both IR-A and IR-B waves for deep tissue penetration
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.

Great for bearded dragons at night

Bought for the winter when the house isn't that warm at night for a New York dragon. She sleeps under it every night and it's not too hot because she's halfway around the territory. The cover helps when I had to take it off and not burn myself. The fact that there is no light in it and there is heat is amazing, especially since so many people have screwed it up and are using red light it's great! It adds a little extra warmth to her bathing area and I don't have to adjust her other light and…

Pros
  • Silicone sleeve protects bulb from damage and hands from burns
Cons
  • Not safe

Calmer, more active and hungrier leopard geckos!

. I've been using mine for a few months now since it came out. It's just as effective as the Arcadia but I prefer this one because it has a silicone sleeve which helps as I've burned myself on the Arcadia before. I didn't have a burnt smell or anything like that. Mine are 50W and internally mounted in PVC cases. I typically run them on my dimming thermostat at 40-50% power to heat the surface about 12 inches to 92-95F. The deep heat heaters have greatly increased the activity level and appetite

Pros
  • Rugged construction for greater reliability and durability.
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
