Smells and tastes like bleach

There's something wrong with these cups. They've either been bleached or contaminated with something because they smell and their drinking water tastes like bleach.

Standard 4 ounce lids will not fit these cups

These are standard take-out espresso cups. They are durable and of good quality. The problem is that standard 4-ounce coffee lids don't snap onto the rim of the cup because they're a fraction of a millimeter too small. I tested this with 2 different 4oz caps. 2 cups are shown. The correct one is a 4 ounce cup (sold by Papernain). The one on the left is a 4 ounce paper cup sold by TashiLiving. The rim of the TashiLiving mug (left) is slightly thicker than the papernain. Dixie Alternative

This is a brilliant alternative to 5oz mugs. For decades, a private company that makes 5-ounce wax paper cups has raised its prices. Now that pandemics have hit us, a good disposable paper cup is both a convenience and a precaution, but those other cups are now overpriced. It's just paper without wax, very strong, able to withstand hot or cold liquids. Although they don't fit in 5 oz dispensers the value for money is great and I'm looking for a suitable dispenser.
