Works but could have been designed better

Tool works well but should have been designed for 1/2 drive. I had to buy a 36mm head. If you choose the socket route, don't take the 6-point socket. It won't work, you need 12 points or more.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • I will add later

Suitable for Bosch Gen 4 eBike chain ring

Ideal for removing the locking ring on the bottom bracket of a Bosch e-bike. This is for Gen 4. But it has an octagon so you can't use a real torque wrench with it. Why they didn't put a hex instead so you can use any hex I don't understand.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Works but no socket head

For some crazy reason this tool has an octagonal socket which means you can't use the socket and it has a huge span which I can't find there know is a key on (36mm) so you must use channel locks. Stupid! There are some German versions that work correctly (3/8 direct mount) but you have to pay shipping. There are also options on Ebay for the same price or cheaper. Stupid design.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I won't say anything

can be updated in Shop Tools

It would be great if you could fit a socket or torque wrench directly into this tool, but don't bother with an unusually large head either a 36mm or XL adjustable wrench. I first tried a tubular wrench (because I had one) and it was so awkward applying any torque to keep it from slipping off that I figured an Allen wrench was the only way out. That and the impact wrench did the trick. Remember: On the right side of the bike, the threads are reversed (turn clockwise to loosen).

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • I really have no complaints about this, everything is fine

For real? 8 pages? For real? Why?

I can't figure out why this thing isn't configured for a direct socket connection. I can't figure out why it's 8 sided. Lowes and buy a Kobalt 1/2" 36mm 12 point metric socket. I found this out by going to the store myself and trying all the sockets available. Kobolt 12 point sockets hit the crazy and unnecessary ones 8 pages of this crazy tool If you have the right bushing it works great and I was able to fit my euro bottom bracket to my BMX racing frame uuuuuuuuuuu

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Minor issues

Peloton bottom bracket no longer rattles

My peloton started to rattle and it got worse. Peloton support told me the cranks needed to be aligned. The problem, however, was clearly that the bottom bracket was loose. The alignment mark on the mount no longer matched and the carriage could be rotated manually. Using the Park Tool BBT-18 and CCP-44C I was able to reinstall the bottom bracket and eliminate the rattle. I ended up having to do it a second time with a screw lock, but now it's not a problem. As others have noted, the BBT-18…

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Damaged

It's the right tool for the job - here's why:

I needed to remove the ISIS bottom bracket for a Schwinn Spin bike. First I tried two other BB tools - one from Lezyne, the other from Icetoolz. Both were very well made, but both didn't fit into the notches on the spin bike's snap ring. So I had to send each one back and wait another two or three days for a replacement to come. All to save a few bucks (or get a little more functionality) over the Park Tool. It is well made and serves its purpose. Note, however, that you will need either a 36mm

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Volume

ATTENTION! Torque wrench and socket cannot be used with these 8 point flats

I didn't originally have a 1/2" socket for this tool so I measured the flats with calipers and found that it was 36mm.I had to order a cheap 36mm bushing on a Revain TEKTON 4936 1/2" drive with a heavy duty 36mm front drive head because my kit didn't have one (I had a 38 - but not on the 36th!) So when I got it I was utterly baffled as to why it wouldn't work with this tool, I pulled out my calipers and measured the BBT-18, thinking I'd missed it on the first Must have measured wrong. No, it's…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
