Will not fit Solid Axle

Parking Tool Fits great on FR-6 but bore not deep enough to remove bolts on solid axle. To use this tool I had to disassemble the rear bearing assembly which was extremely frustrating. This works on most bikes, but it's amazing that it's left out.

Works but is a hassle with bike tools and maintenance

Matches the freewheel I installed. One complaint is the shallow depth, which requires removing part of the axle to access the freehub. The wider cut-out in the middle allows for easy shifting. Otherwise it works well and fits most BMX bikes or kids bikes with no axle issues.

Works *TOP* for 700c single speed

Shit! It removes single speeds! This tool has enabled me to race *all* my single speeds, from the 4-bolt Shimano MX to the 4-bolt Sunrace. (Of course I didn't make a bushing for my Shimano SF 2 hole - it's only for 4 hole). Don't think this only works on BMX bikes. I ride very large adult single speed bikes where the single speed gearing goes where the cassette freehub goes and it works great. I wish I had bought this much sooner.

essential for home bike mechanics

You can't go wrong with this. It is what it is. 4-pin freewheel puller. It does what it does, removes your freewheel threads. always turn counterclockwise to remove. Tip: After attaching the tool to the freewheel, thread the collar nut onto the axle. continue until the flange touches the tool. This will hold the tool in place too securely so you can use an adjustable wrench to turn it counter-clockwise. Note: my photo doesn't show the flange nut because it was on a different bike.

Well done. Better compatibility than other similar tools.

This tool was just what I needed. Pretty easy to use. I had to return Pedro's freewheel tool as it was incompatible with the various freewheel designs that this tool would work with. Of the various freewheels I have come across there are two styles of this four tooth freewheel tool interface, one with 4 dimples and one with 4 raised lugs with spaces. Pedro's tools had a lip and could only work with recessed freewheels. This tool works on both. The construction is great, like most Park Tool…

I had to replace the ratchet on my super deep v-wheel origin8

Certainly a quality parking tool but it didn't work for what I needed. I had to replace the freewheel on my Super Deep V Origin8 wheel. The design does not allow the tool to reach the freehub, it does not go through the longer 120mm hub bolt used on this type of wheel. While it is suitable for these freewheel types, it is not designed for these types. Wheels. It is specially made for BMX bikes that have a very short rear bolt width. This time, however, I got it to work, but I had to loosen all…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

This ratchet puller is great and I've used it a few times but beware! You need to get a puller that fits your freewheel. The most annoying thing is that there are so many different tools for so many different freewheels. So you need to get the right one. Please note that this tool is not only used on BMX bikes. Some single speed mountain bikes also use this puller if you have a single speed freewheel. So I've found that the best way to remove a stuck freewheel is to put the tool in a vise and…

Fits perfectly on my fixed gear bike

This is exactly what I needed to replace the old hub on my fixed gear bike. It has some weight and will likely last a very long time. In the end I decided to buy a brand new set of wheels, tires and hub to change the overall look of my bike. This tool came in handy when I needed to fit a new hub onto new wheels. While you won't need this tool very often, it's still a tool to have in your toolbox to prevent/avoid damaging your bike wheels when you need to replace hubs. Be sure to measure your…
