Expensive but very useful

Definitely a time saver. I'm tired of changing tires on the ground. Put it in the vise on my workbench. As others have mentioned - quite expensive for what it is - but constantly changing tires on my MTB depending on conditions/race etc - and I'm happy with the purchase.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Great Quality: Cycling

This tool is more handy than it needs to be, but now that I have it I won't look back. Initially, the price seemed a bit high, but if you take a closer look, it will be very difficult to make it cheaper yourself. The WH-1 is very high quality and well made, like many other park instruments.

Parking Tool WH-1 Wheel Holder

This parking tool is a good tool for working with bike wheels. This provides better control and stability as the hub sits on the tool plug and can be moved to change the position of the wheel. The device is quite expensive - $100. However, if you need a tool to hold the wheel while you work on the tube/tire and you have a table to set it up, then this tool will come in handy when working on the bike.

Meets the claim to make wheeled work easier

I disagree as working with wheels (adjusting hubs is particularly tiring) and with this tool is much more comfortable. I have 3 bikes - Mountain, Hybrid and Road all with QR cleats. Only the newer skewer with the Bontrager road bike logo did not fit in the hole that was cut out. This can easily be solved by flipping the skewer so the lever is up/out, or by getting a cheap pair of low profile skewers from Revain for less than $8. The tool is solid, with versatile attachment options, and I'm sure

Nice tool but with a surprise

I have three bikes and it seems like the bikes need regular maintenance. This tool makes maintenance very convenient. It works great with my vise and I like having 3 different positions for working with wheels and tires. However, there was a surprise. Two of my bikes have thru axles and the WH-1 is perfect. The third bike has a Shimano quick release and I found that the quick release lever didn't fit in any of the holes in the WH-1. I contacted Park to see if I was doing something wrong and…

An amazing novelty from Park for bike mechanics.

Although overpriced, this unit is worth the money if you do a lot of cycling. Securely holds a wheel with any standard hub (quick release or standard thru-axle size) in one of three different positions; vertical (handy for applying sealant, tensioning spokes, etc.), horizontal (handy for cymbals, mounting cassettes/rotors, etc.), and 30 degrees (handy for almost everything else - GREAT for changing tubes/tires). It can be screwed or clamped to a desk if you don't want to permanently attach it…

  • Stylish and modern design

  • Only available in white

Works well with several issues.

Over the past few months I've used it a lot for various wheel maintenance jobs but I always love this tool, it works like a third pair of hands to hold the wheels while working on it. However, for the price, there are a few issues I've encountered: - The thru-axle stem needs to snap better into the key slot. The plastic thumbscrew always seems to loosen no matter how hard you tighten it (even with a wrench). - The thru-axle stem is not long enough to go all the way through the rear wheel on a…

Worst Quick-Release Hub Gizmo

I tried all the ways to get this stupid tool to work and found it time consuming. My wheels use quick release skewers and no matter how I installed the wheel into the tool, with or without additional spacers (go to the hardware store) to secure the wheel, I couldn't stop the wheel from wobbling. I found this case a serious waste of time and money. Once I got the wheel off the damn tool, I was able to properly tighten the cap nuts, spin the wheel in my hand, make sure there was no play in the…
