Don't you love misleading advertising?

Knife labeled "Japanese" with "German" carbon steel; What's missing is that it's made in China! Yes, I'm interested in where it's made.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Sad packaging

Works well: kitchen and dining room

Ideal for thin slices. Keep in mind that this or any very thin blade cannot be super hard. If it were very hard, the edge could chip and leave those chips in the food. Treat them with care and they will serve you well. Do not throw them in a box with other items and use a wooden holder.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • No mold required

I love these knives: Kitchen & Dining

I replaced my old cheap KitchenAid knife set with this brand. I love the look of the damascus steel blade and wooden handle. They seem to hold a pretty good edge, I'll go through any knife with sharper use. Very good knives for the money.

Pros
  • Keeping my Fists
Cons
  • Some Little Things

Blade cheap - Cutlery and knife accessories

Three stars because of the most important part of the knife. Blade. It just doesn't stay sharp no matter how I sharpen it. After cutting vegetables, they become blunt (8-10). My Victoronox knife set is much better in terms of blade quality. I will say that the grip is very comfortable and the weight is comfortable.

Pros
  • Excellent price
Cons
  • Doubtful

Great knife at a great price

I cook and bake a lot and use knives from knife sets and they are good but sometimes you need something better. Enter this knife. Feel in hand, sharp edge to cut everything from chocolate, nuts to meat. Really enjoy this knife. Next I'll find a hacker.

Pros
  • Not fit for purpose
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

GREAT value! in the kitchen and dining room

I love this knife and while it's not dishwasher safe like the Cutco chef's knife I have, the sharpness of the blade so far has been EXCEPTIONAL - it's like Cutting with a razor. We'll see how long the blade lasts etc but for what I paid for this knife it looks and feels like something 10x the price and cuts just as well!

Pros
  • Brilliantly made

Very happy with this knife

I LOVE this knife! It is very sharp, light and elegant. I also like the feel in my hand, it's very comfortable to use. I use it to cut both frozen and fresh meat, vegetables and fruit with little effort. It doesn't seem to lose its spiciness after hard work (I sliced a few pounds of semi-thawed beef for a family gathering the other day and it stays as sharp as ever). The price is unbeatable for this performance. I have a couple of knives that I paid a fortune to sharpen. Now I focus on this…

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Worth the price for a hobby chef

Let's face it, this is not a professional chef's knife, but then again, I'm not a professional chef, just someone who appreciates good cutlery. It appears to be quality steel, but weight and quality often go hand-in-hand in the world of professional cutlery, and at just 7 ounces it's a little lighter. I have a Japanese steel knife of the same size that weighs twice as much, and that extra weight makes things easier when you're dicing many hours a day. Still, it is very well made, the rosewood…

Excellent knife for your money

I love to cook and I have great respect for all my tools. I use them a lot and expect them to last a long time. This knife is a great addition to my kitchen utensils. As noted, this is not real Damascus steel, just laser engraved to make it appear so. This is still a very high quality steel that is really sharp and can be sharpened to a razor blade very easily. Quality and workmanship are first class and in terms of functionality on par with knives that cost three to four times as much. I…

  • Everything is fine!
