Review on PAUDIN Classic Santoku Knife Stainless by Leslie Smith

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Worth the price for a hobby chef

Let's face it, this is not a professional chef's knife, but then again, I'm not a professional chef, just someone who appreciates good cutlery. It appears to be quality steel, but weight and quality often go hand-in-hand in the world of professional cutlery, and at just 7 ounces it's a little lighter. I have a Japanese steel knife of the same size that weighs twice as much, and that extra weight makes things easier when you're dicing many hours a day. Still, it is very well made, the rosewood handle is pleasant to the touch, and I expect to leave it to my heirs and wills.
