Very cool material and very comfortable

Very cool material and super comfortable. The only downside is that I don't think the material will last long. super thin

Pros

Love the Pear Izumi Pro Intercool Tri Shorts

Love the Pear Izumi Pro Intercool Tri Shorts or transparent which was mentioned in the review below. You should treat the fabric like any other soft fabric. You can't sit on a concrete or rough surface, which most people are already familiar with with a soft cloth. Yes, I would buy this item again.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Questionable buy for seniors

Disappointing, transparent

Bought exactly the same size as a few years ago. I weigh the same as I did then. But these shirts were very tight, like compression shorts. Also, the fabric looked stretched and almost see-through. I have read this complaint in other posts as well. I love the old ones but I brought these back for Wednesday. They seemed too big to me and the fabric was still fairly see-through. I'm usually very fond of Pearl Izumi, but ended up returning her to another brand. I wish I could still find the ones I

Good Tri Shorts on Sports

Wore them a few days after arriving from Revain for the XTerra Off-Road Triathlon. They fit as expected and were comfortable throughout the race. You look good too. I read several reviews that said the fabric is see through. This is not my experience. I suspect the people who wrote these reviews were wearing shorts that were too small for them and the fabric was too thin. Just a guess. In terms of padding, they have padding that matches the padding of triathlon shorts (which they are), not…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model

for a name like Peral Izumi I thought I'd get it.

My god, my wife said she could see my lower body through it. The material is very thin. And still there is a pillow - WHICH PILLOW? Yes, that's what I said. Wow, with a name like Peral Izumi I thought I'd get these awesome riding shorts with just enough padding. nope Nothing like that. Do yourself a favor - go to your local body shop and put your hands on the upholstery and feel the difference between what they wear and BUY IT THERE. I figured I was going to save money - yes - I saved well - in

  • Permanent Test Results

Great shorts - life expectancy could be better

I am buying two pairs of these shorts as original equipment for a set that I will be training in and using for my first triathlon. I'm glad I got an extra pair because after 500+ miles of driving in a month and multiple wash cycles (gentle cycle, cold water, hang dry) they're already out. The fabric is a woven synthetic mesh and is very thin. Doesn't handle friction well. The fabric around the seams in the crotch shows signs of wear after a month of use (three rides a week of 20-80 miles plus…
