It's easy to install and adjust, but the backrest is very low and didn't give me enough support when using this seat. The back should be higher. Seems to be a quality material but needs extra back support.

Bought for an old Pelican Castaway fishing kayak that had a bad seat cover. I had to trim the kayak seat back brace a bit with metal scissors but once I did the cover fitted perfectly and adjusts very well.

I can't understand why the stitching ripped where the backrest meets the seat cushion. I'm glad I bought this as a rumble seat for my kids because I would destroy it if I tried to sit and paddle in it. I am not satisfied with the purchase, but the goal has been achieved!

I have a kayak that the manufacturer no longer works so I was unable to replace the seat. This seat was really versatile and "universal". With a minimum of fuss and fabrication I was able to safely mount it inside rather than as a top seat. Works great. Good flexible design.

I bought this chair for my kid's kayak. It was very easy to install. My only complaint is that the zipper on the bottom of the seat comes undone while kayaking causing the seat to lose its place and shift around a bit. Also, he has good support and the kids seem to enjoy it.

Installed and tested on a 6ft kids kayak today. According to my son, the seat keeps moving back and forth (there is no point of contact between the seat and the backrest). Honestly I think the seat is good and perfect for a 6ft kayak for life. I'll put some velcro on it so he won't complain anymore. To install it, you may need YST 10 Pcs Kayak Bungee Deck Nylon Loops and a rivet gun.

If you are looking for a seat back to fit the Lifetime Wave or similar kids kayak then this is a great option. Previous reviews said it was low and as you can see from the photos it is. But it's the perfect size for small kayaks or kids kayaks. Overall this is a great seat with good support and features. If your kayak doesn't have bindings, you can easily add them. My photos show the back clips I added.

One major downside to these seats is unfortunately enough to negate all the positives. I don't know of any other seat that fits our Pelican Solos, so if we went back we would be out of seats. You'll have to buy parts to install these seats, but it's not expensive and it's not very difficult to figure out. The problem is the zipper on the back.
