Do not use on sandy ground.

This is a charming little aquarium and I love how it looks. But the pump is not that great. The suction cups on the back will not stick to the walls of the tank, causing the pump to detach and sink. Unfortunately I used black sand as a base and the pump seems to have sucked the sand in and must have burned the motor while cleaning and it still doesn't work. Will have to buy another pump. I don't think you'll run into the same problem with gravel or glass gravel, but I think black sand looks…

5 stars, BUT for fish and aquatic animals

So does what it should. It's plastic. The filter is fine. He moves water. However, I think a micro-sponge would work better. The light is about as bright as a flashlight at a dollar store, so I use a table lamp I had as a spare. Mine cracked but Revane fixed it. Remember this item is SMALL. You do not hide this fact. They give you dimensions and volume, but some people may see the wrong fish picture and get misled. I bought mine because I needed to relocate dwarf shrimp. It's honestly too small

Shady loves to swim!

Bought this small aquarium for my Betta, Swim Shady. I have it on my desk at work otherwise I would put it in a 5 gallon tank. When I first got this tank the filter didn't work. It didn't turn on, didn't even show any signs of trying to work. Contacted Revain and they expedited a new set for me. I installed this filter and it works great. I'll probably consider a denser piece of filter foam that will slow down the flow a bit, but Swim Shady seems to love it! He has real plants in this tank, not

Great Betta Aquarium: Fish Tanks and Aquariums

I've tried so many different aquariums over the years that this is the best for my Betta. beta before. The fish were less active because the large filters needed to clean so much water created strong currents that affected their swimming. They spent most of their time inside the plant, only swimming to feed or breathe on the surface. Even buying large tanks that were said to be made for bettas didn't help because they had the opposite problem. The current was so weak that the water didn't flow…

Perfect small desktop aquarium.

The tank is perfect for both my desktop and Betta. The filter exit is not too strong for the Betta. The betta can rest on the blades of the Revain sword, as well as in various places in the aquarium. (Others here have posted how to reduce the filter power if needed.) I've added an inverted aquarium background of Hagan Marina. I didn't use a seal as I prefer a more subdued background. I added a Revain sword, a Marimo moss ball, some gravel and some rocks to decorate the fish tank. The pump is…
