After over 20 years I finally had to replace my Intellipump. I was happy to know that they are still in production and as far as I can tell the design hasn't changed, other than the screws holding the main screen may be stainless steel. I had to replace them with original ones after they became rusty and difficult to remove/reinstall. This also didn't have a check valve, but that's a minor thing. Thing pumps great when it works. The smart pump feature stinks! If you have your hands and aren't afraid to take it apart and remove that sensor, this is a great pump! It can even work with a sensor, meaning it's a great pump anyway. However, if you put it in water and it pumps for a few seconds, pauses for a few seconds, and pumps for a few seconds, it means the sensor is not working properly.
