On my 2009 g37x I found it much easier to connect the small hose directly onto the passenger side of the assembly. It's an uphill battle and I had to use the small pipe to attach it to the 90 degree plastic fitting coming from the inlet pipe and then pull the large pipe over it as a large pipe is too big and the small pipe is too small was to attach it a large hose to the factory connection was good. I did it and it works fine 🤷👍

Pros
  • A few competitors
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

A good product! in the air intake

Looks great and sounds great. Gave my g37 a little more growl in the top end, not too different from the power, maybe a little faster. The system is easy to install, but some fasteners are in hard-to-reach places. Make sure you have plenty of little wrenches to stick in weird nooks and crannies. Brackets aside, this is a very easy system to understand and install. Be sure to reset the stock ECU after installation. The K&N instructions were more detailed and specific to my machine than any…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • No instructions

Installation was easy once you know what you are doing. The tubes are machine welded and I had loose and protruding metal in my O2 sensor port. Be sure to check out this area! Of course, no one wants shards of metal getting into the throttle body. It took me about 20 minutes to make sure all the fragments and burrs didn't go into the tube. After that, the installation was very easy. However, the recommended hose length is too long, so you may need to change it for a better fit. Overall I'm…

Good kit, unclear instructions

Let me start by saying that I love the oral kit and I think it's worth what I paid for it. My biggest criticism is the installation instructions. The hoses are too long to return the crankcase and each hose has been cut off at least halfway. That was for a 2015 370z, maybe the Infiniti '09 is different, I don't know, but you'll see when you get into it. The second problem was that you record everything at the same time. If it's easier to work one side at a time, also remove the cross brace if…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Almost never

This product will make you happy I am sure.

*WARNING* THE NOISES COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON THIS SYSTEM ARE WONDERFUL! don't drive hard Since the pipes are fairly short on this inlet, you get a front row seat on the Power Symphony, you'll hear a nice growl in the 2-3km range, and then watch out for heavy acceleration, especially north of 6km. for pleasure. As for performance, let's face it, that's the real reason you're buying it, right? I only had the car about 5 days before installing this intake so it's harder for me to see

Installed on 05/12/17 on my Nissan 370z Touring 2015

Very easy to assemble, take your time, be careful, especially with air sensors because they are directional. But I didn't use 2 plastic 90° bends, I bought 2.1/4" pipe plugs. And I also bought all the necessary parts for the PCV removal as I strongly recommend you guys to do the same as now. The new intake kit draws in a lot more air, thus creating more vacuum, which draws engine oil through your PCV valves (they have 2-1 on each valve cap) instead of the remote valves PCVs that you have to…

Sedan owners, read on lest you have the trouble I have.

I really wanted to give that 5 stars but it wasn't as easy as my projects with K&N items in the past. I'm not talking about Jane's simple filters either. I have a 4 door G37 but the engine bay is pretty much the same on all Gs. A few tips: Check that the MAF sensor port on your new pipes is clean and well machined. Mine got cut off and I had to put them down (see photo). I would have a tap and die kit handy (and know how to use it) as the powdercoating came on the threads for mine and made…
