crap, only worked once.

Worked fine when I first took it out of the box. It is now quite broken, the bezel is trying to come loose and the dial gauge spring has stopped working properly after some time in storage. Stay away from this garbage.

Angular Torque Sensor - Junk

I bought this to tighten some head bolts on a VW/Audi 2.0tsi engine and this tool is junk. First, the part of the jig that should rotate with the bit gets stuck and doesn't move consistently with the rest of the tool. The little bar at the end that keeps everything from turning won't stay in place, and the set screw is easy to remove. You're better off guessing the angle than using that

Here you can still find good tools at reasonable prices

Article was defective upon delivery. This is not surprising in view of the very cheap construction of the instrument. The hand didn't stay in place as the rough surface of the hand blurred the hole it sits in and the sensor slipped and gave inaccurate angle readings. You can still find good tools at reasonable prices, but he's not one of them. If you use such a tool for something important, buy a better one.

  • Stylish and modern design

Not impressive for wrenches

Attempted to use both stem bolts and mainshaft caps on 6.0 Vortec for TTY bolts. The dart only occasionally, if ever, turned with a ratchet. I've tried adjusting the stop a variety of ways, tried moving the clear plastic bezel closer and further away from the torque wrench with the pointer, but couldn't get any consistency. I'm pretty sure it would be more accurate to just determine the angle by eye. I ended up pulling out a magnetic digital protractor, attaching it to the torque wrench handleโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Quality construction

  • The list goes on.

- I used a tool to tighten the bolts connecting the cylinder head to the engine block with the torque. I was replacing the cylinder head and head gasket on a 2000 VW Jetta 2.0 GL 5 speed transmission. Due to the complexity of this repair and the fact that you have to get it right in order to even start the car again, I decided to use a torque angle tool. Likewise. Cylinder head bolts are rated to yield point (tty) and any improper tightening can damage threads, bolts or worse. This tool (usedโ€ฆ

After an hour of use I'll buy a better replacement

Poor quality. The ratchet goes with the $2 wrench. It hardly works like a ratchet. The markings are difficult to read and the micrometer spacing is 12 in-lbs each (10 marks on the mic scale for a 120 in-lbs increase in torque as marked on the grip). I haven't been able to verify the accuracy, but I have no reason to believe it is incorrect. It seemed right to me, but my hands are poorly calibrated. Final Verdict: With its weird extensions and useless ratchet, it only deserves one star whetherโ€ฆ

Must be modified before use! FEAR!

I gave 2 stars because it won't work without modification. I'm a qualified mechanic. The plastic top needs to be attached to the inside of the 1/2" extension, without slipping, they do this with a spring and an o-ring, this also doesn't work because the o-ring is too thin or the spring is too weak or both. This will give you very inaccurate readings and can seriously damage your engine. I will either install a stronger spring or a thicker ring. I don't mind, but I thought others should knowโ€ฆ

Pros
  • For use with 1/2" drive tools

Misleading readings - save your money and your car

The only thing worse than a non-working gauge is one that gives misleading information. I read the reviews and considered buying, thinking if that doesn't work I might adjust the spring or o-ring as another reviewer suggested. Conclusion: It simply does not provide reliable readings. The turn signal plastic does not rotate smoothly with the key. I tried turning the key slowly and quickly, but it made no difference; it did not work. I've tried a thicker o-ring with no improvement. The only thing

Pros
  • Adjustable lever has 2 different lengths for ease of use
Cons
  • Has been damaged
