It is a hand tool head only

This is indeed a 1-3/16 inch head (custom size) but not a 'special' oil pressure gauge head like GM's. #J-21757 is simply a 1/2 inch hex socket with flats on the drive end.

Pros
  • Power and hand tools
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

May last longer for sockets and socket sets

Almost missing the oil gauge I have in the '89 Pontiac Firebird. Managed to get it on the outer lip enough to inhale. Worked for what I needed.

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Not bad

It's just a hand tool socket

This is actually a 1-3/16" socket (oversized) but not a 'special' oil pressure gauge. Socket ala GM #J-21757 is just a 1/2" hex socket with wrench flats on the drive end.

Pros
  • Socket and socket sets
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Advertised as a 1/2" drive (that's what the packaging says) but is actually a 3/8" socket. It did an excellent job with the original oil sensor block which is more than a replacement on my 1991 4.3L Blazer S-10. The smaller NAPA replacement unit used a 1-1/16" deep outlet.

Pros
  • Sockets and Socket Sets
Cons
  • Negative impression
