Great RTV setup two thumbs up

This RTV setup is great, no need to stop the bead to compress the tube to get more RTV. You get a taper to control the thickness of the RTV by trimming the tip to the correct thickness (the cutter is on the side of the handle, it's a round insert and compresses the handle). Also, the tapered tip gives you easy access to install in small spots and the speed can be controlled with a trigger like the standard caulking gun. Depending on the climate, the curing time is approx. 2-4 hours. All in all…

Oil pan leak fixed.

I have misused this product. After watching videos online on how to fix leaking oil pans, I decided it was worth a try. It worked great! It's dirty, but after 5,000 miles it's still running like a champ. Working on the 4x4, transfer case, brackets and more that made taking out the oil pan a huge job was a gift. In addition, this can also be done on the go if necessary. If you're looking at this product for that use I'm sure you've seen the video (there's one with a guy working on a copper…

Waste of money doing car detailing

Wish I could check the performance and quality of the stuff needed but not only were both tubes dry and unusable, the caulking gun itself was not working properly either because it had a damaged trigger. The spout cutter was also terrible and didn't cut all the way through the tube/nozzle provided, I had to use my own cutters. It wasn't a big deal because I have scissors, wire cutters and knives for cutting, but why make a caulking gun with a "knife cutter" when it won't cut. The Permatex was…

Here is a miracle!

It's a miracle! I have a 2010 Ford Focus, I decided to change the oil in the automatic transmission. I went through three gaskets (one rubber and two felt) and a new pan and nothing stopped the leak. I also broke a screw from over tightening the pan and had to re-tap one of the screw holes. I decided to try this stuff before taking it to a mechanic to see if it worked. So I dropped the sump, cleaned the sump and gear surface with acetone, beaded the entire sump and greasy holes, and reinstalled

Works perfectly for my intended purpose

I have this Permatex® 99070 The Right Stuff®, 5 oz. - 2 packs of caulking gun from Revain in February 2018 to fix the dashboard bulging around the passenger airbag trim cover on my 2008 Mercury Milan. Basically, the original manufacturer's adhesive that was under this area lost its effectiveness after a few years (a problem frequently reported by Mercury Milan and Ford Fusion owners). Instead of paying a dealer or independent body shop to fix this problem, an experienced auto mechanic who often
