Does not work on 302 EFI

Apparently this equipment is designed for a 6 cylinder engine. The description claimed it was for 302 EFI. Revain won't let me return this device. The device is not fully sealed, large gaps in the plastic side cover. A bit scary considering it's electronic.

Check which TFI you need for your application.

Customers who have posted negative reviews most likely purchased the wrong TFI module. Ford has used 2 different TFI modules ranging from 89 to 96. The only way to really know which one you have is to check the TFI connector. If a red/blue wire goes to pin #4 then this module is not for you. This module is a CCD (computer controlled shutter) and pin #4 of the TFI is connected directly to pin #4 of the EEC IV. There is also no ignition suppression resistor in the negative circuit of the coil. I…

Low performance of this device

Freeway). The local Ford God mechanic was kind enough to help me resolve this issue. After one ride he felt cut off and suggested I replace the TFI module. I bought an ACCEL 35369 Ignition Control Module and after installing it the problem went away. I don't know how well this unit will hold up to the heat if installed on dizziness when I installed the TFI relocation kit and relocated the TFI to the fender. Bought this product for my 1988 Ford Ranger; the original TFI module no longer works. I have purchased Pertronix products and have had positive results. However, this time the Pertroix module was found to be inoperable upon reception. I returned the purchased unit to Pertronix and received another unit under warranty.
