This waffle maker is much smaller than expected. Arrived shrink wrapped with no instructions or proper box. One of the wooden handles dangled. The hinges are secured with rivets, which to be honest looks like third world country. The waffles are not as thick (deeper pockets) as I would expect from Belgian waffles. First, it's quite small. This is definitely a "biscuit" maker and not what you would normally think of as a Belgian waffle maker. Sorry, it was a spontaneous choice: I saw "waffle maker" and clicked "Yes, I need it!". But it's not a waffle iron. I'm not sure I'll ever use that thing. The pan is small - 6" x 4" - and the waffle can be about 1/2" thick, more like 1/16" where the "dimples" meet. This is indeed a biscuit. There will be no breakfast for you. And you have to heat it over a flame and decide when to turn it over to cook both sides. They really talk about a village experience. "Smores would have been a lot easier.
