🐕 Convenient and Reliable PetSafe In-Ground Receiver Fence Collar with Charger Review

It's great to have a rechargeable collar, not that non-rechargeable collars don't last long, it's just nice not having to buy batteries. The collar also appears to be quite durable, has a good build quality and is small enough not to be too bulky for my small dog (60lbs).

We have ordered a replacement collar for our 13 year old TX-100 invisible fence. Petsafe has since bought the invisible fence company and this collar, although the price was compatible. After a long run of company reps trying to sell me one for $200 and a lot of research, this one will work with this old invisible fence model.

This collar is a great fit for our system, it was much cheaper than a collar identical to the one we had that no longer worked. I love the fact that it's rechargeable so I don't have to keep a spare battery on hand all the time. When other collars finally give up, I will order this one again!

We have three collars. The third was ordered on January 24, 2018, delivered on January 26, 2018. When I found our dog on the street I checked her collar and it didn't work. The light is on, it seems to be working but with no beep and shock setting. The other two collars still work. They are called Petsafe and are very comfortable and easy to use. They sent a new collar straight away, I have no complaints about their service.

I have a fence and two collars. The fence and the original collar work perfectly, I am very satisfied. I bought this second collar for our new #2 dog. It was always faulty but I ignored issues with it not holding a charge or not working consistently as this dog rarely attempted to leave the area anyway. However, now when I need it to work well, it won't turn on or charge. The device is less than a year old.

The only disadvantage of the collar is the programmable button. Our dog loves to scratch his collar and he scratched out the button and made it not work. It's called Pet Safe and they have a new one for us on the way for free. Bought more than 8 months ago. We really appreciate the recharge compared to our old collar. I have used replacement battery boots in the past and they have worked for about 3 years with no problems. Then I tried rechargeable collars. I bought two collars (collar #1 and #2) for my medium and large dogs. #1 worked well for several weeks and held a charge well. #2 didn't hold a charge from day one and I sent it back for a new collar (collar #3).
