PH25 Extra Guard Passenger Filter Review

This filter has a rough side coating which means it can be easily tightened (and probably removed) by hand. Why aren't all filters made this way?

Great oil filters at a great price! Very well packed. Works very well with my jeep 258 inline sixes with good oil pressure. You can't go wrong with this!

known brand, quality already tested, never had leaks or other problems, i use fram for all my 3 cars and can recommend to all who don't have brand and more expensive filters.

I use these when I can't find other brands of filters. They work well and do what they're supposed to, but the quality is lower than some brands. The paper element cleans oil well but should be replaced sooner rather than later as the element is thinner than the best brands. But with a range of 3000 km, it works well.

I don't know what it is but I'm not sure about these filters. I ordered two of these and there was a ring stain in each box. The paint on the filters was scratched and chipped as if they had been used before. And they both smelled of gasoline. I have no idea what's going on, but I won't be ordering from them again. I get the filters from the auto parts store.

I changed the oil on my 1979 Jeep Cj7 and immediately heard my valves were starving for oil. I thought after 25 years of car ownership the oil pump or one of my valves was bad. Right before I disassembled the engine I decided to put my old oil filter back in place. (it was only 3,000 miles) and my engine sounded like new again. I've read stories about Fram's "red" filters, but I couldn't believe they were true. If you buy this horrible product, get ready to blow your engine to the skies. AVOID…
