Phillips Velocity Wood Screws for Outdoor Applications Review

Screws are ok, but don't sink. I bought screws expecting to be told they will sink. You are not. However, I have never encountered screws that actually countersink. As screws go they are excellent and at a good price. When connecting two panels, a drill with a countersink must be used. This defeats the purpose of using self-tapping screws.

If you need to use screws to build a patio or fence these screws will do the trick. Just built a treated wood fence and these little critters did a great job. I used my Dewalt drum kit with the bits that came with it and everything went very smoothly. I recommend purchasing additional bits, T20 and T25 depending on the size of the screw used. you will need them. I bought more to keep at home for other projects.

These are not ideal fasteners. I would say they are close to ideal but not quite. They're not stainless steel, they don't have the deepest recess to put a drill in, but that's a very good deal. I don't know if the price was lower (this applies to most post covid revain products) but either way I think the $37 spent for the 375 quality screws I received was totally worth it to have. 5 star rating because they still worked very well and I got a lot for what I paid for.
