Phottix Varos Pro M Flash Shoe Umbrella Holder (PH87199) - Multi-function Photography Accessory Review

Seems to last forever. Works as expected and looks very good. All metal except for the handles, but they appear to be very durable plastic. Everyone and everyone is very satisfied. Let's see how long they last, most likely a very long time considering how they look and feel. Based on my first impressions, I would recommend them to anyone.

This is probably the best umbrella mount I have ever used. I have a few of these and will take them before moving on to my Manfrotto bindings. Everything about it seems very well thought out. It's pure quality and it's almost more like a luxury item without the ostentatious prices. The shoe mount isn't cheap like I'm used to from other products. I like the external battery clip. Everything about it is great.

Very high quality product. The all-metal construction is definitely worth the premium over the cheap plastic versions. The "corner" hinge features latches that prevent attached devices from accidentally falling forward if you forget to fully tighten it. I will definitely get another one of these soon. The knobs are easy to tighten even on the hot shoe (I think it's worth noting as I saw a review of a cheap plastic version saying they were difficult to use). Shipped and arrived as promised.

Five stars with one caveat. Phottix is a sturdy little all-metal bug that will never come loose as long as the mounting screws are tight. The top has snaps that provide extra security when dressing. As for the cold shoe: At first I was afraid that the "crush" mechanism of the screw-in adjustable foot would break the plastic parts of my flash foot. However, if you pay close attention to how you tighten the foot screw, you will notice that the metal foot holders only make contact with the metal…
