Perfect for my 2004 Lexus RX330. In 22 degree weather it took 10 minutes max. I used a block of wood, a 10mm ratchet, a small flat head screwdriver and a magnetic probe (for the dropped screwdriver). Works perfectly!

The part was just what I needed. Installation took about 5 minutes, works great. The Lexus dealer offered me over $200 to replace this part. I think I paid about $25 for the role. I even bought a new crescent socket wrench for about $6 to help with the installation. So saving about $200 is a good deal. Many Thanks.

The battery died and I had to connect the charger but the hood wouldn't stay open. I ordered this. I looked at the instructions and was confused. Used a 2x4 to hold the hood up. Old screw removed. Old clip removed. I almost took off a new clip but it just snapped into place. Works perfectly, the top goes up slowly, stays indefinitely, then closes easily. Thanks for the great replacement.

The instructions show several configurations. I installed this and the hardest part was keeping the hood open at the same time as installing it. After installation it works as usual. Good quality and was a great price. Installation took about 10 minutes, mostly requiring a screwdriver, wrench and something to hold the hood. (screwdriver to remove and reattach clip)

Literally in 7 minutes. It took so long because I was looking for my flathead screwdriver (spare tools were kept in the hatch compartment).
