I was so happy to find these for my son (4 years 10 months) as he has a passion for magnets and loves building blocks. Win, win! He was thrilled to have created all sorts of mechanisms, including a hammer, a robot, and a neat looking lock, in just 15 minutes out of the box. These are great magnetic blocks and the best part is that they encourage independent play! We bought them for our 8 month old son who loved them straight away. These bricks are amazing. A tegu is like the top level of magnetic blocks. Of course there are other magnetic blocks on the market, as well as many purses and shoes of all price ranges. We love Tegu and have never had any problems with other sets but we received this box and it was suspicious from the start because on the box there is a sticker over the original is packaging that states the COLORS I ordered, but the box shows the normal (original) wood. When I opened it I found that the green block was damaged, in the picture below the green paint has chipped off. The orange long piece also has discoloration that differs from my other tegu sets. These fun dice look beautiful and unique. Both my 2 and 7 year old love them and I have no doubts about their quality. However, I can't help but feel that part of what you're paying for in these blocks is the packaging. The packaging looks like it's for show, it's really pretty, but I just threw it away because those blocks aren't actually worn in it at all.
