They matched my cherry shrimp perfectly and looked good. The variety I got in my package wasn't bad, only one of the pieces was thin but the other two more than made up for it. If I do another shrimp tank I will be buying a few more of these bags.

I was happy to find smaller logs for my shrimp tank. I cooked all 3 for half an hour. Still, only 1 out of 3 drowned. So I soaked 2 others for 2 days and then boiled another 30 minutes and nothing. Thus, only 1 log sank and could be used. A bit disappointing as I needed more than 1.

Looking at the other reviews and comments I expected to see a tree similar to the display and other reviews. Product arrived and only 1 out of 3 was like. The other two were in need of repair, two needed a thorough cleaning. Both were boiled several times, using pipe cleaners, small drills, and small pickaxes to clean out holes. In the original instructions, the seller says "either cook the wood or soak it in hot water" to leach the tannins out of the wood. I recommend boiling as I now have freshwater lice in my shrimp tank. As the reviews have noted, the products are mixed (one pair is good, one is ok). Cook them a lot to kill whatever might be on them, reduce the tannins and help them drown (I cooked them for 2 days). They are beautiful, offer lots of extra biofiltration surface, make great hiding spots and ladders and look absolutely beautiful. But they need to be soaked before putting them in the tank to drown them out and more importantly they made my tank incredibly cloudy.
