Description of Pirelli Scorpion ATR 185/75 R16 93T all season

The Pirelli Scorpion ATR all-season passenger tire is one of the most successful attempts by the renowned Italian manufacturer to create a tire for SUVs, crossovers and pickups, perfect for driving both on the expressway and on rough terrain. This model features an exceptionally wide range of sizes, starting with 205/70R15 and ending with the gigantic 325/45R24. Such a wide range of sizes, numbering more than three dozen options, allows this tire to be used on the vast majority of off-road passenger cars. Tread pattern design Italian tire manufacturers, in an effort to provide the tire with excellent performance on any type of surface, preferred to use a tread with a symmetrical non-directional pattern, the design of which only remotely resembles the letter S. The central part of the tread consists of three longitudinal ribs, each of which is a separate row, consisting of separately standing blocks. In the very center of the tread there is a series of blocks located at a very short distance from each other. This made it possible to form a practically integral longitudinal rib, due to which the Pirelli Scorpion ATR tire demonstrates excellent directional stability when driving on the highway. Two adjacent longitudinal ribs are also separate blocks, which are distinguished by a complex configuration, replete with many corners and sharp edges. The shoulder zones of the tread are distinguished by an aggressive, almost rectangular profile, which, on the one hand, provides a large area of the contact patch, and on the other hand, its almost rectangular shape. Such a constructive solution made it possible to achieve excellent grip on dry roads, as well as optimal distribution of pressure over the entire contact patch, and, therefore, uniform tread wear, which significantly increased tire life. In addition, the tread shoulder zones are two additional rows of massive and high blocks, the side part of which contains several sharp edges and corners. This design of the shoulder zones significantly expands the tire''s ability to overcome difficult off-road sections. Highly efficient drainage systemIn addition to quickly and effectively removing water from the contact patch, the Pirelli Scorpion ATR tire for SUVs must have a tread with good self-cleaning performance. For these purposes, the central part of the tread is equipped with two wide longitudinal drainage grooves, as well as numerous transverse curved channels. When driving on a wet highway, the curved shape of the channels contributes to faster and more efficient removal of water from the contact patch, and the large size of the drainage grooves allow the tread to easily get rid of dirt and stones that accumulate on off-road. Excellent structural strengthWhen creating the tire, its designers took into account the possibility of frequent visits without

The goods are normal, money is not wasted!

But in the Altai Mountains she showed herself only from the best side! He climbed and descended on the KATU-Yaryk p, climbed to the observation deck in the Belukha (Tungur) region - he climbed high on the gr and soil. Has some pros: Soft, comfortable rubber. Good asphalt-dirt ratio; and so comfortable and where it is necessary to row through the mud well. Before that, there were "BRIDGEKI" dauler 687, they did not go through the mud at all. During installation, they showed a good balance of…

In general, everything is not bad, but I expected more.

I put it on Freelander2, driving 70% city, 30 off-road (sand, gravel, mud). Used 2.5 years in both summer and winter. When I bought it, I was delighted: it was silent, soft on the highway - I didn’t notice much difference with stock tires. I drove out onto the rubble - it’s great: where the gear was, it became much softer and more comfortable, at high speeds the car drove noticeably more confidently (earlier, there were hints of demolition when cornering at a speed of more than 80 km / h). Rows

Pros
  • Soft, quiet, comfortable on gravel, sand.
Cons
  • Poor appearance, heavy, after wear of more than 30%, it significantly loses controllability!

I didnt see good quality, solid disadvantages.

. Do not believe the photo on any site about her, even the official one, where the image is rotated 360. Its real appearance is an old Muscovite or GAZ 21 on narrow, high wheels. With such a narrowness, there are no lugs at all, so it has nothing to do with 2022 off-road. The manufacturer tested and released it for the desert. Hence the name scorpion, which lives in the sands. . As a bonus, you will receive a beautiful white inscription on the sidewall of the Pirelli Scorpion. Now, approaching…

Pros
  • Quiet, soft and all !
Cons
  • Heavy and, as previously mentioned, the consumption of a liter is a plus.

The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

Stock tires for the Niva. Suitable for this car. Purpose - driving on roads in any condition with any type of surface. Including roads with rock or loose pavement. Off-road, of course, use is minimal, but Niva is not an SUV, tracks are needed for this. I drove over the stones, nothing was torn, only scratched. Sand is possible. A little dirt too. Asphalt is good. The gravel road is harsh, but it goes confidently. Haven't tried it in winter. They say it's only as good as new. Most likely it is…

Pros
  • Good rolling, ideal as a road AT
Cons
  • Protector would be nicer

neither fish nor fowl. I bought it as a universal one, since I periodically move from asphalt to primers, including blurry ones. I didn’t have enough purely urban rubber, so I considered this tire as a kind of compromise. city: quiet enough, but "heavy" tires. tenaciously holds the track, in order to break out of it you need to make some efforts, but it jumps back into it itself and with pleasure. significantly increased fuel consumption. holds turns, puddles pass normally, but somewhere at…

Pros
  • appearance, beautiful tread pattern
Cons

The second time I take Pirelli despite the bad reviews. put on tahoe for year-round use instead of WINTER hakke7. prepared for the worst according to reviews on 2022 sites and believed in the incorruptibility of European ones. result: the vaunted, expensive WINTER Hakka7 with spikes did not allow aggressive driving in the snow only on the back, I had to connect the front. January 12, 2022, it's snowing in Hong Kong, -7 and on soft summer tires you row only on the back, despite the…

Pros
  • handling, rowing properties, behavior in snow and ice
Cons
  • No

No complaints, I recommend the product for purchase.

The impression spoils the workmanship. In the purchased size, the protector looks narrower than in the picture. I didn’t use it in the mud, I bought it. liked the drawing. Took for the summer, auto Chevrolet Captiva 3.2 Has pros: I compare it with winter Hakka 5 and summer Dunlop SP Sport 270. Pirelli is much softer than Dunlop, but harder than Hakka. On asphalt and broken gravel with 10 cm holes, it behaves perfectly. Rutting is practically not felt, rebuilding along the Hong Kong Ring Road…

A good product, but having its own defects.

They stood on the field from the factory. I took the car at the end of February, I was afraid that it was not winter, but that rest of the Hong Kong winter had completely left, and once a week I went to the store this winter in Hong Kong. Yes, it’s not winter and predictably behaves badly on ice, but it allows you to ride in the stream. Different pros: Strong - drove on bad rocky roads, keeps well. Allows you to leave in the winter, if the street is not colder than -10. In the rain behaves…

The product is really good, I'm glad I purchased it.

In general, a very decent tire for a regular Nivovsky disk, when used on asphalt in the summer. I would not recommend taking it for trips to field and dirt roads. In the first season I cut it on a gravel road. It's a shame, before that there was K-156-1, for the entire period of operation there were no such problems. Expensive, more than 2 times more expensive than K-156-1. At the time of purchase, the K-156-1 cost 2450, the Pirelli Scorpion ATR tire of the same size - 6820. I noticed that it…

Pros
  • handling on asphalt low noise
Cons
  • Easily tears and cuts on stones on gravel and field roads, Price, Wears out faster relative to K-156-1
