They barely fit in your typical 4x4 rack. I had to use a hammer to tap on some of the wood corners to get some of them installed. The tree will shrink/expand, so that's okay. This is a decent looking black finish that does a great job of protecting the wood. You need to apply some glue, otherwise the wind will keep sending multiple pieces.

These 4" x 4" Fence Post Caps are great! secure with screws on opposite sides if desired. Great purchase for the price of this quality product. Equivalent to actual rack size 3 5/8" x 3 5/8". Also the caps can be dyed in any desired color, they are available in black. Exactly what I needed!

These end caps are a great addition to my new fence posts. Not only do they look good, they also protect the exposed ends of the posts. They are of good quality and fit well. At first I mounted them with no glue or fasteners, but one evening after a strong hurricane some of the posts were blown off. So I pocketed each screw to hold them in place. (No surprise there.) I recommend them.

Arrived once in perfect condition. Good price compared to other post caps. The builder installed the wooden caps and they no longer splintered and protected the posts on the deck. I painted them with brown primer after cleaning. Once dry I used clear silicone to glue them to the dry tops of the posts. You look really good. The best thing is that I was able to order the exact amount I needed.

They make my posts "complete" and it was easy to put them on top of each one. At first the wind blew them away, which was painful. I ended up using some tape on the inside to stick them to the posts, which worked. It would be nice if they were glued a little too s. or maybe a little wedge to secure them or something. I'm happy with them for the price and glad I didn't have to screw them to the pole. .

A great way to liven up a patio or fence with minimal effort. They were packaged very well and seemed to be made of good plastic. I used metallic paint. They are very easy to draw and look great. This is for a nominal 4x4 fence post. If you have a real 4x4 post, they won't fit. I attached it to the stand with a small screw. A few other reviewers have mentioned that they crack. I drilled a pilot hole first and had no problems. I am very happy with my purchase.

These are perfect for modern 4x4s (quoted as we all know they are NOT 4x4 inches). I previously bought some of these in HD which were too big but they fit PERFECTLY! The plastic is very thick so they will stand the test of time. I had to use a sled to put my 4x4 in the mounts so the top got a bit damaged and I was worried about future water issues.
