These are good, heavy rubberized fenders that are easy to fit on the 1500 or 2500 model. There are eight screws in the guard kit (2) that you can easily strip. I installed mine with a three position electric screwdriver without removing the tire. It took about 10 minutes to install each fender. The assistant keeps the protective cover for the first screw. If it's pretty, you may need it for the entire decor. that was my experience. Fenders look great.

I would give 3.5 if I could. They definitely weren't as easy to install for me as for others. I have a 2014 Ram Big Horn. One of the holes in both rear tires didn't line up, so I had to work really long and hard to get it to fit. They also don't fit completely onto the truck, meaning there's little room between the cover and the truck door for salt and dirt to get in. This is very important for those like me who live in wintry conditions where salt is so common on the roads.

I bought two sets of these (front and rear) for my 2011 Dakota BigHorn RAM and they fit perfectly. I have BF Goodrich Long Trail Radial T/A tires on my truck and these fenders are not the tire width. They're quite long too, and the white RAM logo really stands out. The quality of the flaps is really good - fiberglass reinforced rubber so they keep their shape. They are very sturdy and easy to install from the back. The front has a 1 inch bar that makes it impossible to install from the front without cutting it and I have a feeling this would ruin it. I installed them over the plastic rock guards and used the same screws that came with the truck. I further inserted the third screw to make it more stable. I didn't have to take the tires off.
