Description of Plated Finish M8 1 25 Thread Across

Hex nut tightens from the side with a wrench, enabling use when there is limited space above the nut. Class 8 steel is often used in applications where strength is the primary consideration. Zinc plating resists corrosion and has a reflective appearance. Meets JIS B1181 specifications.

Wrong size in apartments.

The item says they are 12mm wide, but they are actually 13mm wide. Everything else is correct as stated but needs 12mm AF to fit where it's needed.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Only available in white

Hats come off too easily

Decent quality and price; They seem to work well with some hoists (up to 500 lbs) so far. However, the heads seem too easy to break off when tightening. Overall they get the job done.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Reliability

These are NOT JIS size nuts

The outside label on the box shows the correct specs for the JIS M8 1.25 nuts I ordered but the contents aren't really the same. These are American M8 1.25 nuts with sockets for a 13mm wrench, not 12mm like the JIS nuts. Luckily the threads are correct and I have enough room for a nut which I will use so I will not be returning them but they will be very problematic for any shop that uses them in bulk on their customers' vehicles. I saw other reviews complaining about this and was hoping the…

Not JIS, not 12mm AF, not as described.

These nuts are not as described. Wrong size in different levels. I don't know what went wrong as many other reviewers confirm they got 12mm AF according to the JIS standard (i.e. for a 12mm spanner, not the standard 13mm spanner that commonly comes with fasteners M8 is used), but I received nuts with markings. like 12mm AF, but it's not. See attached picture. The 12.83mm size fits a 13mm socket and just won't fit a 12mm socket. Is it important.? Well, I'm changing nuts on a Toyota and I don't…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
