The best door for dogs!

This is the second door I have bought. This is by far the best product being developed and made available. Is it worth more than others? Of course, but the price is more than justified. The previous one was designed to fit through a door. I installed it myself with no problems. The second one for our new house was made to fit in an outside wall. Ours is brick so I hired it. Installation was labor intensive. We like the energy and reptile resistant door. I will never have anything else. Strand.

The door itself is great!

I bought a door with a wall mounting kit and the wall tunnel is a terrible design when I try to embed it in the wall. Individual pieces of aluminum are difficult to hold in place when installed as directed. I ended up having to frame it with wood and then screw the tunnel onto it. The door itself is amazing and I'm glad I spent the extra money. I think if I had to do it all over again I'd rather switch one of my doors from glass to wood so it doesn't have to be built into the wall. It would be…

THE BEST DOOR FOR DOGS!

My little dog knew what to do as soon as he was ready! If you don't know how to do everything yourself, I recommend hiring an experienced handyman who has installed dog doors before; I did and he did an excellent job! I don't understand the negative reviews as this is a superior product compared to other dog doors. Yes, it's expensive, but it's worth it! If installed incorrectly, it will not work as intended. In any case, I wish I had bought it a long time ago! I had an old dog door, well, no…

What a rip off! Not cold efficient!

Not worth the money! I wish I had chosen one of the cheaper doors. My dogs LOVE having a door just for them; they can go in and out as they please! But for me it was a NIGHTMARE! The security strip constantly slides and helps keep the door open. This autumn, many insects have climbed into the house. And this winter the lock freezes and I can't lock/unlock the doors. Inside there is always a terrible draft of cold air. Hoar frost and ice cover the whole apartment, the doors are constantly stuck…

Great door if we could install it. The Bad: The installation itself was very difficult. The door includes parts but there is a bit of fabrication that needs to be done. After struggling with the installation for hours, I ended up at the local hardware store and bought a roll of caulk, caulk, and tools. It wasn't an easy setup. The instructions are not easy to follow. I almost bought another dog door and sent it back, but the hole we cut was too big for other companies' extra large dog door, so…

Bought 4 times, not worth the price, poor quality, poor instructions

This is the 4th dog door in my family from PlexiDor. The other 3 were doors and were fantastic. However, this door is downright terrifying. The dimensions given in the PDF instructions on Revain do not correspond to the dimensions given in the instructions included with the box, which do not correspond to the actual dimensions required of the door opening itself and the inserts. DO NOT try to cut the opening or frame the wall before installing the door as this will mean extra work later…

Design flaws are good for doors, gates and ramps

I would give this door 5 stars but there are two design flaws that for the money shouldn't be. The first problem is that you have to leave the key inside while the door is open. This probably won't be a problem but if you leave the key inside there is a risk of the key breaking off and that will be a big problem as it takes a lot of work to install this door and having to replace it is a nightmare, not to mention the high cost. In addition to having to leave the key with the door open, the…

Great idea + poor build quality = poor price

The price made us think long and hard about this door but with a large dog, a cat and a small dog it seemed like a good option. Large dog doors with traditional top doors seemed at least obnoxious or difficult for a cat or small dog to use. Some of the more attractive large dog doors have actually stated that they cannot be used by cats and small dogs. I think the problem is that the magnets needed to keep the door closed from the wind have to be so strong that a small dog or cat cannot open…
