As much as I love changing seat covers

Works very well. As much as I hate changing seat covers, these pig ring pliers work well. Take the pig ring. Hook it to the seat cover, push in and pinch. The spring loaded latch works well. They don't throw a pig ring. I would recommend them.

Easy to use and well made tool.

The pliers look strong and are made of quality material. I ordered the largest pig ring this tool can handle and they barely fit. The point is, they fit and the pliers squeeze them with minimal pressure, which is good for people with arthritis. It takes a bit of fiddling to put them in place and then just squeeze and you're done. Very happy with the purchase!

Poor quality tool fits snap ring pliers

Bought these a few months ago to finish a pair of cages and loved them from the start and they were a lot better than my old pair. But only one cage was made, and half of the other part holding the ring was bent to the side and no longer holding the ring. They slipped out of the side when you squeezed them. I should have bought expensive ones or used them straight away so I could send them back

Nice to have on hand

It's an inexpensive tool that probably won't stand up to heavy use, but it's definitely nice to have on hand. We use pig clamps from time to time (mainly for assembling cages and pens for small animals) and regular clamps slip off the rings making the job difficult. They have a nice indentation to secure the ring in the middle of the print, making them easy to close. Should have bought a few years ago.

Good basic pliers. for pliers

It works fine. I gave it 4 stars because I'm worried about the spring breaking and you can't fix it if it happens. It also has a slight side-to-side wobble as the hinge is a rivet so it could be firmer. Nothing hurts. I like thin jaws because if you work properly you can get the pork ring to go through the jaws and close very tightly. The grips have a very snug feel and I don't think they will ever slip or cause problems and they are a bit grippy which compares nicely to the slick vinyl grips…

They do their job.

I have decided to put heating elements on the driver and passenger seats of my car. The foam cushions are held together in rings. These pliers were sufficient for the task. They are the best? nope But they work. My palms hurt a little afterwards, but this is the kind of tool you use once and then bury in your toolbox for the next 20 years. They don't hold the rings as tightly as I'd like while I'm putting them in place, but they have enough leverage to close the rings. The grips could be a…

I like the fact that it's spring loaded for retention.

I bought this to attach a poultry net to the bottom of a chain link fence. I like the fact that it's spring loaded to hold the ring in place during installation, but it feels like the grooves in the head are too shallow to properly hold the ring during compression. About half the time the ring is simply spinning in the grooves and not compressing symmetrically. Sometimes it twists and completely slips off the wires. At best, it is difficult to obtain symmetrical compression. I've tried others…

Disposable tool in pliers

Purchased to install snap rings when installing new seat covers. It did the job, but at a price. To operate a 3/4" ring plier you need really big hands. The problem arises when you have to dip the nose of the tool deep into the crease of the pillow. To insert the ring into the pliers is your hand open as wide as you can and you press the lever with your fingertips now try to find the force necessary to go deep into the pillow I have really big hands and was forced to use both tools to get it in

  • Snap ring pliers
